Investing in our community
and young people
Fat Media is proud to be based in the city of Lancaster. It is a fantastic place to live and work with an excellent pool of young talent that has helped us to grow and prosper.

We believe it's our duty to reinvest in our community and, in particular, the next generation of young people.
With that in mind we’re keen to play our part in the local and regional community, contributing positively and actively wherever we can.
We’re proud of the positive impact we have as a significant employer and also in the way we help other local businesses flourish and develop, thanks to our web development, digital marketing and graphic design projects.
Fat Media also actively supports many community initiatives and causes as a company - and many of our employees are involved, either in an individual capacity or with help from work colleagues, in charity fundraising projects.
We formally support the work of Lancashire Association of Boys and Girls Clubs by delivering and maintaining its website as well as offering support with design and print of promotional and information materials.
Our MD, Mike Gibson, is a trustee and has helped organise fundraising events for the association as well as for the Lancaster Boys and Girls Club which is part of the LABGC network.
Fat Media has also provided a website for young people to apply for funding from the George Fox School Educational Charity which gives financial assistance to support people under 25 through education.
Individual Fat Media Directors and employees have also offered help to, and organised fundraising events for, TackleAfrica, Zoe’s Place children’s hospices, Sport Relief, YMCA Lancaster, CancerCare and the Marsh Community Centre.
Our contribution to the area’s business and leisure community has included sponsorship of the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards, Lancaster Beer Festival and several matches at Morecambe FC’s Globe Arena.
Fat Media also has a designated work experience scheme and works with Dallam High School in Milnthorpe, Cumbria and Heysham High School in Heysham, Lancashire to provide a valuable, informative and exciting work placement experience for local young people.
