Business Development Manager

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a proven business developer in digital. We are looking for someone smart, charismatic, and results-focused who will be the face of our in-bound leads and new business generation for our well established, full-service digital agency.
You will be able to demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience in delivering consistent results in a new business position, selling websites, design, and full-service digital marketing services within an agency.
This is a remote position, but with the option to be based out of our offices in Bristol or Lancaster part of the week, if preferred.

About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying the high-quality new business opportunities from a steady feed of inbound enquiries, building a qualified new business pipeline.
You will be in control of new business revenue targets, which your performance will be measured against.
You will take the lead in preparing and delivering new business pitches and write tender response documents. You will also work closely with the agency marketing team to create an outreach strategy and develop the content that will drive future inbound enquiries.
Salary: £30k-£35k DOE
As an experienced professional, you will be self-motivated in your approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
This is a new business position, so a track record of winning new business in the SME market is essential.
An excellent communicator, you will be confident leading new business pitches and presenting creative ideas and digital solutions in a compelling and engaging manner.
You will further demonstrate the skills required to research and write technically accurate proposals that are credible and show an awareness of the digital challenges facing SMEs.
Excellent written skills are a must, as is a commercial mindset and the ability to close out profitable opportunities.
You will be expected to maintain accurate records in our CRM, managing your sales pipeline and tracking your opportunities through the sales cycle from initial enquiry through to close and handover to a project manager. Therefore, you should be confident working autonomously and an effective team member.
Nice to have:
- Experience in describing the relative benefits of either Umbraco CMS or Wordpress
- Degree educated
- Experience of creating outbound marketing campaigns with in-house marketing teams
