Fat Media welcomes Lancaster BID 'yes' vote

It was great news for us in more ways than one when Lancaster recently voted to create a Business Improvement District (BID) in the city centre

As a company we believe the initiative will enable the business community to deliver a range of important new projects to the benefit of the city’s economy.

And the ‘yes’ vote was certainly a proud moment for our design team, several of whom had worked with the Lancaster Unlimited BID steering group to produce eye-catching campaign materials in the run-up to the voting process.

Our design team created attractive and effective campaign logos as well as a stunning BID brochure distributed to the key local businesses who were asked to approve an annual levy to fund the new projects.

Over the next few years the BID priorities will be decided by the contributing businesses and could include supporting new public events, finding ways to utilise empty shops and introducing schemes to encourage more shoppers and visitors to come to Lancaster.

The BID campaign was the latest in a series of major local initiatives for which Fat Media has provided creative design materials.
We designed and produced brochures and exhibition banners for Morecambe’s central seafront ‘View for Eric’ regeneration scheme as well as leaflets and exhibition materials for Lancaster City Council’s recent exercise to consult members of the public on the district’s Local Plan proposals.
