Fat Media wins international award with The Daffodil

Fat Media are delighted to be celebrating an international award win with client The Daffodil Hotel & Spa after receiving an Internet Advertising Competition ‘Outstanding Website’ award 2014.

The IAC is an international showcase of digital technology and design across 96 industries and 9 online formats. Now in its 12th year, the competition attracts entries from some of the world’s top media agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and SapientNitro to name just a few.

Industry experts at the IAC fully assessed The Daffodil Hotel & Spa on criteria such as design, creativity, impact, innovation and copywriting before crediting the site as an ‘Outstanding Website’ within the Hotel & Lodging category.

The Daffodil website, which went live in March 2013, offers a unique image led design and development concept and is mobile responsive across all devices; incorporating interactive gallery headers and mega menus alongside a focus on prominent sales driven call to actions.

The bespoke CMS is fully editable and allows The Daffodil to create and update CTAs in keeping with their brand values and marketing strategy. In addition, the site also has an innovative ‘social lounge’ which brings social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Foursquare, Google+ and the hotel’s blog on one landing page; creatively designed as a seating lounge.

We have also developed a full SEO strategy on the site, ensuring a high volume of relevant visitors. Over the last year key site statistics have been significantly higher, a great example of a results led approach to web design and development.

We are very proud to receive this award on behalf of our client project team and also of course The Daffodil Hotel & Spa, who have a clear marketing direction - enabling such a stand out website to be created in partnership with the team here at Fat Media.
