Our Challenge

We had two primary objectives. Firstly, to restructure the visual identities, reposition the brand and create a new design style across all three hotels.

The second was to embody the refreshed brands in brand new websites for each property, along with a range of printed collateral.

We also continue to support the Wildsmith Hotels team with digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, paid search, email and social media marketing.

Digital and Brand Design

Developing the Concepts

We chose warm, neutral tones of grey, green, blue and copper, along with a classic serif font to provide consistency across all three brands, thereby presenting the hotels with a classic, refined feel, yet still contemporary.

Once established, we redesigned the websites, beginning with Hipping Hall. We designed an image-lead website to immerse the user in the beautiful surroundings, elegant rooms and gourmet dining on offer at the hotel.

With clear calls to action and a simple navigation, we have made it as easy as possible for prospective guests to find the information they want. Integrated ecommerce functions allow guests to book a room or buy gift vouchers online in a simple and secure process.

Creative SEO

A particularly innovative SEO tactic is the creation of an ‘Explore’ section on each site. This series of local visitor guides offers practical information to travellers on local attractions, including ticket costs, opening hours and even travel time from the hotel to the attraction. It also serves to capture search traffic for popular queries such as ‘things to do in the Yorkshire Dales’ – enabling Wildsmith Hotels to target travellers through organic search.

We were thrilled to win the Best Website and SEO Marketing category at the 2018 Hotel Marketing Awards, for our work with the Wildsmith Hotels group.

The judges praised the consistent branding, user-friendly booking process and tactical approach taken to digital marketing.
