What a great week it’s been for the Fat Media digital marketing team.
Firstly, on 31st January, we were awards ‘Best Digital Marketing Campaign in the Third Sector’ at the Northern Digital Awards, for a project with national charity BeGambleAware. Our Responsible Gambling Week campaign aimed to raise awareness of harmful gambling habits, and the support available from BeGambleAware, in one intensive week-long promotion.
Using a combination of search and social media advertising, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, we were able to achieve a massive 1000% traffic increase compared to an average week on the BeGambleAware site. We also built an anonymous chat room specifically for the campaign, where users could discuss their habits confidentially with an online advisor.

Just the very next day, leading email service provider Adestra announced our work with The Daffodil Hotel and Spa as their Campaign of the Year 2017!
Having been named Campaign of the Month back in January, our email campaign went into a public vote against the other winners of 2017’s monthly titles, and came out on top.
The campaign, developed alongside the Daffodil team, had a special deal included in the subject line, and fear of missing out convinced 26% of subscribers to open the email. The urgency, timing and clean design pushed 29% of those who opened to click through and find out more about the deals. With 6 direct bookings and 248 assisted conversions, this campaign brought a 2500% ROI to Daffodil!
