We’re thrilled to announce we have made it to the shortlist for this year’s Big Chip Awards! Our work on the Daffodil Hotel & Spa’s website has been nominated in the Best Use of Digital Design category.
We worked with the Daffodil team to recreate their website in time of real turmoil, as the Lake District hotel was one of the many businesses affected by Storm Desmond in 2015. Severe flooding meant the hotel was closed for 7 months while refurbishments could take place to repair the damage, restoring the hotel to its former glory.
Thanks to a brand new navigation, improved mobile and tablet functionality, and integrations with social media and an online booking tool, the new website has turbocharged the success of The Daffodil since it reopened in July 2016. It now sees more traffic than before the closure, and has increased direct bookings.
The Big Chip Awards are organised by Manchester Digital, and are the longest-running digital awards in the UK. This year’s winners will be announced in Manchester on 15th June – so keep your fingers crossed for us!
