Double Shortlist Success at the eCommerce Awards

Somebody get the celebratory biscuits out – Fat Media are thrilled to have had two of their projects shortlisted in the eCommerce Awards for Excellence 2016.

Now in their 8th year, the eCommerce Awards highlight the very best online retailers, online companies, agencies, innovations, products and campaigns the ecommerce industry has to offer.

The first of our projects to reach the final is Simpsons Premium, a family-run pet food business, a finalist in the hotly contested ‘Best General eCommerce’ category. As well as designing and developing a fully responsive site, the Fatties put a lot of focus on improving the customer journey. Some of these improvements required bespoke web development work, building on existing Magento code to give Simpson’s Premium customers exactly the functionality they need for a seamless user experience.

Meanwhile, in the ‘Best Leisure, Entertainment, Sport, Travel & Holidays eCommerce’ category, our work with YOTEL receives recognition. Again, a major part of our brief was to create a mobile and tablet-friendly interface, along with detailed conversion rate optimisation on all devices. Another feature was to integrate YOTEL’s many social media channels into a section of the homepage, so visitors have easy access to the very latest reviews, tips and photos.

The winners will be announced at the presentation evening on 28th September, at London’s Grosvenor Square Marriott hotel. Good luck to all the other finalists, we’re looking forward to seeing you there!
